Event Details

The Dark Horse Trail Series takes place at the Tryon Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, North Carolina. The event features three race distances: a marathon (26.2 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles), and a 10k.

Location & Course

The course is a 6.5-mile loop on the grounds of the Tryon International Equestrian Center. It consists of wide dirt paths, single-track trails, and grassy meadows. Each loop has approximately 600 feet of elevation gain.

Included with Registration

Registration includes park entry, a custom race bib, and chip timing. Post-race, participants receive a finisher medal, a custom race tattoo, event-themed giveaways, a race sticker, and a Wildly Charged hydration sample. Complimentary race photos will be available.

On-Site Amenities

Aid stations offer pickles, cookies, chips, fig newtons, pretzels, water, cola, and ginger ale. The event is cup-less; participants must bring their own hydration vessel. On-site amenities near the start/finish line include a breakfast diner, coffee shop, convenient store, bars/restaurants, and indoor bathrooms.

Additional Information
