The Trick or Trail 5K & 1 Mile takes place in Hendersonville, North Carolina on October 25, 2025. The event starts and finishes in the Historic 7th Avenue District near 519 Maple Street and coincides with the Fall Festival at the Hendersonville Farmers Market. Two race options are offered:

The event includes in-person and virtual options. Virtual participants receive event shirt and finisher item by mail when offered. Professional chip-timing is used.

Course, prizes and community details

Both courses run through the Historic 7th Avenue District and the Oklawaha Greenway. The routes are described as fairly flat with a mix of nature and pavement. There is one water station on the 5K course located just before mile 1 near Sullivan Park and the Boys and Girls Club. A backup route is available for flood-prone conditions.

All 5K participants receive a commemorative finisher medal. Event shirts are provided free with registration until September 28, after which shirts are available for purchase. The event includes a costume contest with multiple award categories, awards for top finishers by age group, post-race vendors, and complimentary non-alcoholic apple cider at the finish. The race partners include local organizations and a collection drive for the Boys & Girls Club of Henderson County to gather winter items such as socks, beanies, blankets, gloves, jackets, and sneakers.
