Trick or Trail 5K and 1 Mile : Hendersonville

Trick or Trail is an in-person running and walking event in Hendersonville that takes place on October 24, 2026. The event is presented by Hunter Subaru and includes a post-race Fall Festival and vendors near the finish in the Historic 7th Avenue District and Hendersonville Farmers Market.

Participants can choose between two distances:

  • 5K - 3.1 miles
  • 1 Mile

Both courses run through the Historic 7th Avenue District and the Oklawaha Greenway. Routes are described as fairly flat with a mix of paved and natural surfaces. There is one water station on the 5K course located just before mile 1 near Sullivan Park and the Boys and Girls Club. Because parts of the route are flood-prone, an alternate backup route may be used if needed.

Event amenities and features include an event shirt for participants, a finisher medal for all 5K finishers, a sheet of temporary tattoos or stickers for 1 Mile participants, a costume contest with prizes, awards by age group, chip timing with timing mats, complimentary non-alcoholic apple cider at the finish, and commemorative race gear available for purchase. Strollers are allowed when started from the back; dogs are allowed only as spectators. A virtual race option is also offered and swag can be mailed to virtual participants.

Registration opens April 30, 2026. There is discounted pricing for participants age 12 and under for a limited time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
