Trick or Trail 5K - Hendersonville

Trick or Trail 5K & 1-Mile : Hendersonville, NC

Trick or Trail is scheduled for October 24, 2026, in downtown Hendersonville and is presented by Hunter Subaru. The event includes a 5K and a 1-mile Spooky Sprint, with registration opening April 30, 2026. Costumes are highly encouraged and there is a costume contest with prizes. All 5K participants receive a finisher medal. All participants receive an event shirt (free until Sep. 28; $20 after). 1-mile participants receive a sheet of temporary tattoos or stickers. There is a discounted 5K price for participants age 12 and under : $25 through October 12, then $30 afterward.

Course, timing and on-site details

Both courses run through the Historic 7th Avenue District and the Oklawaha Greenway. The route is described as fairly flat with a mix of pavement and greenway; it is flood-prone and a backup route may be used if needed. The 5K course has one water station located just before mile 1 near Sullivan Park and the Boys and Girls Club. The finish area is on historic 7th Avenue near the Fall Festival and Hendersonville Farmers Market. Professional chip timing is used with timing chips on race bibs and timing mats on course. The event is stroller friendly; dogs are allowed as spectators but may not participate in the race. A virtual race option is available and virtual participants receive mailed swag when offered.
