Trick or Trail 5K - Hendersonville

Trick or Trail 5k & 1 Mile

The 12th Annual Trick or Trail 5k & 1 Mile, presented by Aetna, takes place in Hendersonville on October 24, 2026. The event begins and ends in the city’s Historic 7th Avenue District near 519 Maple Street and includes in-person and virtual participation options.

Available distances:

• 5k run in-person and virtual options
• 1 mile in-person, un-timed

All participants receive a custom finisher medal. Registrations submitted by September 27 include a complimentary event shirt; shirts may be purchased after that date. The in-person 5k uses chip timing and a set up, well marked, spectator friendly course. Finish amenities include complimentary non alcoholic apple cider from Bold Rock Mills River, a goody bag, and complimentary race photos. A costume contest with multiple award categories will recognize best dressed kids, individuals, friends and family, pets, most original costume, and memorable efforts; winners receive prizes and are announced at the awards ceremony.

The event supports local causes, including fundraising pages for the Boys & Girls Club of Henderson County and iDream Athletes Foundation. The Boys & Girls Club is also collecting winter items at packet pickup, including socks, beanies, blankets, gloves, small space heaters, jackets, sneakers, toys, and sunscreen.
