Trick or Trail 5K - Hendersonville

Hendersonville, United States • 24 Oct 2026

Trick or Trail 5K & 1 Mile : Hendersonville

The Trick or Trail event in Hendersonville features a costumed 5K and a 1-mile Spooky Sprint through the Historic 7th Avenue District and portions of the Oklawaha Greenway. The courses are described as fairly flat with a mix of nature and pavement; a backup route is available because parts of the route are flood-prone. There will be one water station on the 5K course just before mile 1 near Sullivan Park and the Boys and Girls Club.

Registration opens April 30, 2026. Event shirts are provided to participants free until Sep. 28 (fee applies afterward). All 5K participants receive a finisher medal. Discounted pricing for kids 12 and under applies through Oct. 12; the price increases after that date. A virtual race option is available; virtual participants receive mailed swag when offered.

Post-race activities center on historic 7th Avenue with a Fall Festival, vendors, and the Hendersonville Farmers Market nearby. Additional event features include a Hunter Subaru goody bag, complimentary non-alcoholic apple cider at the finish, a costume contest with prizes, awards for top finishers in each age group, commemorative gear for sale, and professional chip-timing using timing mats and bib chips.

The event is stroller friendly (participants using strollers are asked to start toward the back unless competing), and dogs may attend as spectators but may not participate in the race. Transfers into the virtual event are allowed prior to race start; transfers between participants and refunds are restricted. The event is subject to permit approvals and potential course or date changes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
