Trick or Trail 5K - Hendersonville

Hendersonville, United States • 24 Oct 2026

Event overview

The Trick or Trail event in Hendersonville on October 24, 2026 is a community running event presented by Hunter Subaru. It offers two distances: a 5K and a 1 Mile Spooky Sprint. Registration opens April 30, 2026. All participants receive an event shirt (free until Sep. 28, then $20). All 5K participants receive a finisher medal. There is discounted pricing for participants age 12 and under through October 12 ($25, rising to $30 after). A virtual race option is available and virtual participants receive event swag by mail.

Course and logistics

Both courses run through the Historic 7th Avenue District and include a section on the Oklawaha Greenway. The routes are described as fairly flat, combining pavement and natural trail surfaces. The 5K course has one water station located just before mile 1 near Sullivan Park and the Boys and Girls Club. Because the route is flood-prone in places, a backup course will be used if needed. Results are recorded with a chip-timing system (MyLaps).

Participant details and amenities

Post-race activities take place on historic 7th Avenue near the Hendersonville Farmers Market and a Fall Festival. Amenities include vendors, a costume contest with prizes, awards for top finishers by age group, and complimentary non-alcoholic apple cider from Bold Rock Mills River at the finish. The event is stroller friendly; dogs are allowed as spectators but not in the race. Transfers into the virtual event are allowed; refunds are not provided.
