Trick or Trail 5K and 1 Mile in Hendersonville

This community running event offers a 5K and a 1 mile course through the revitalized Historic 7th Avenue District and along the Oklawaha Greenway. All in-person participants receive an event shirt and a custom finisher medal. Costumes are highly encouraged and a costume contest with prizes is part of the event. Awards are presented to top finishers in each age group.

Course details note that both routes are fairly flat and combine paved streets with natural greenway sections. There is one water station on the 5K course located just before mile 1 near Sullivan Park and the Boys and Girls Club. Because portions of the route are flood prone, a backup course will be used if necessary.

Timing is handled with professional chip timing using a timing chip on the race bib and timing mats on course. The finish area is on historic 7th Avenue and features post race vendors, a Fall Festival atmosphere, and Hendersonville Farmers Market offerings. Complimentary non alcoholic apple cider will be available at the finish from Bold Rock Mills River.

Additional options and policies include a virtual race option with mailed shirt and finisher item, stroller friendly starts with guidance for safety, dogs allowed as spectators only, transfers to the virtual event, and a no refund policy in most circumstances.
