UltiMutt Race : March 13-14, 2027

UltiMutt Race is an obstacle course event for a dog-and-owner team, held alongside an all-day festival. The course is promoted as a 5k / 3 miles course and features 17 obstacles designed for partners to navigate together.

The event offers two wave types. The Competitive Wave is chip timed and eligible participants can earn the UltiMutt Champion title and a trophy. The Fun Run is not timed; participants in the Fun Run may skip obstacles without a squat penalty, while Competitive Wave runners who skip an obstacle must perform 30 squats.

Safety and animal welfare rules include: dogs must be at least 1 year old, be up to date on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations, and show no signs of aggression or health limitations. Dogs must remain leashed at all times; retractable leashes are prohibited and a hands-free leash and harness are recommended. Only one dog may be raced per participant at a time.

The event includes organized start waves of five racers every minute to reduce congestion at obstacles. Fundraising is optional; participants are encouraged to raise funds with a $100 challenge, and 100% of donations plus a portion of registration fees are donated to a partnering local animal shelter. Volunteers receive event swag and can request documentation for volunteer hours. Finishers receive a medal, a year-specific iron-on patch, free entry to Noble Dog Fest, and free race photos. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
