TreeTops is the 4th annual trail race held on October 17, 2026 in DuPont State Recreational Forest near Brevard and Hendersonville, North Carolina, with the posted venue address of 3045 Sky Valley Rd. The event benefits the Friends of DuPont State Forest and is limited to 300 participants.
The event features an in-person 8.5 mile trail race with about 1,000 feet of elevation gain and a virtual 8.5 mile option for participants who prefer to run off-site. In-person entries include a race number with chip timing, a finisher medal, complimentary race photos and a goody bag. All finishers receive a custom wooden finisher medal on a genuine leather cord.
Event amenities listed for the race include hydration stations, medical aid, porta-potties and a refreshment area with snacks after the finish. Packet pickup is provided at the Picnic Shelter on race day. Strollers are not suitable for the course and dogs are not permitted. There is no race day registration because of limited internet connectivity. Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian signature on the registration form. Camping is not permitted in DuPont State Forest.
A DuPont Forest Festival takes place alongside the race with vendors, hikes, yoga, biking and waterfall viewing. Admission to the festival is free.
