TreeTops Trail Race : DuPont State Forest

The TreeTops Trail Race is an 8.5 miles trail event held in DuPont State Forest on October 17, 2026. The race benefits Friends of DuPont Forest and includes a post race DuPont Forest Festival with guided hikes, educational workshops, live music, and food vendors.

The course runs on singletrack and forest trails with nearly 1,000 feet of elevation gain, rolling climbs, and fast, winding descents. The route is well marked and a GPS route is available. Two water stations are placed along the course. The event uses professional chip timing with a timing chip on the race bib and timing mats at the finish line.

All finishers receive a custom wooden finisher medal on a genuine leather cord. Awards are given to overall and age group winners. Registration opens April 9, 2026; participants who register before September 21 receive a free long sleeve race shirt, after which shirts are available for purchase. A virtual race option is available and virtual participants receive shirt and finisher items by mail when offered.

The event does not permit dogs and the terrain is not suitable for strollers. Transfers from in person to the virtual option are allowed up until the start of the event, and transfers between participants are prohibited. Refunds are not provided in most circumstances.
