Twilight Trail 5K : Kanuga, Hendersonville, NC
The Twilight Trail 5K is an evening trail race held at Kanuga in Hendersonville, North Carolina on August 8, 2026. The event uses a single-loop 5K (3.1 miles) course that is also the run segment of the Kanuga Triathlon. The route combines smooth single-track, double-track, forest road, and a few short paved sections with gentle elevation changes. The course is scenic and shaded.
Participants receive a commemorative shirt if registered by July 12; entries are $25 after that date. The event provides a custom finisher medal, age group awards, professional chip timing with timing mats, and clearly marked routing with GPS-supported navigation. A virtual race option is available; virtual participants receive the event shirt and finisher item by mail when offered. The event can be combined with the Kanuga Trail and Tri Challenge so entrants may earn separate finisher medals and additional commemorative items across both events.
The organizer states the event runs rain or shine unless conditions are dangerous. Transfers into the virtual event are permitted up to the start of the race; transfers between participants are prohibited and transfers within seven days of the event incur a fee. There are no refunds; in the event of cancellation in-person registrations may be converted to the virtual option and swag mailed.
