Event Details

The Not A Sprint Ultra Races is the fifth annual edition of this endurance event, presented by Cancer Active. It takes place in Forest City, North Carolina. The starting and finishing point is the Pavilion on Park Square (POPS), located on the Thermal Belt Rail Trail.

Course

The course is an 8.34-mile out-and-back route on a paved rail trail. It is flat, with only 95 feet of elevation gain over the full loop. Approximately 35% of the route is shaded. The event features well-stocked aid stations.

Categories

Participants can choose from three timed race formats:

  • 12-Hour Individual Race
  • 6-Hour Individual Race
  • 3-Hour Individual Race

Relay teams are also permitted, with each runner required to complete at least one full lap.

Awards

Awards are given to the top three male and top three female individual runners. The top three teams also receive awards. Every runner who completes 50 miles within the 12-hour race receives a custom "Not-A-Sprint" belt buckle.

Additional Information

Packet pickup details are to be determined. Registration includes a T-shirt, a medal, access to water and electrolyte drinks, race fuel, and post-race food and one beer.
