The Prisoner of War Trail Race takes place on November 8, 2025 at Croft State Park in Spartanburg, SC (450 Croft State Park Road, Spartanburg, SC 29302). Donations and race proceeds support the Upstate Running Club Youth Team. Distances offered:

Course, support, and policies
The course is a marked figure-eight loop. The 50K consists of two full figure-eight loops, the 25K is one full loop, and the 8 Mile covers the northern section of the figure-eight. A central checkpoint and aid station are located at the Activity Center. The single aid station is stocked with food items (pickles, cookies, chips, fig newtons, pretzels, assorted candy) and hydration (water, Coke, Ginger Ale). This is a cup-less event; participants must provide their own canteen or hydration vessel. Personal tents and drop bags may be staged at the designated base camp area; participants are asked to pack in and pack out.
Finishers receive a finisher medal and a gear pack that may include a custom race bib, collapsible hydration cup, giveaways, a custom race tattoo, post-race food, hydration samples, a race sticker, and complimentary race photos. Awards include trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers and 1st–3rd place age-group awards. Age groups range from 0–9 up to 80+. Registration policies allow transfers and distance changes, offer a 15% club discount and a $5 referral credit for two referrals, and state no refunds or deferrals except under specified conditions. Volunteers who complete a three-hour shift may earn a free entry to an Upstate Race Series-owned event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
