Buck Creek Streak 13th Annual 5K Trail Run : June 12, 2027
Buck Creek Streak is a clothing optional trail run/walk held at Carolina Foothills Resort. The event offers wooded trails and meadows for participants and includes chip timing with an ankle strap chip and instant results displayed on a TV.
Two race distances are offered. Participants should select one race length:
- 5K
- 7.3K
The 7.3K is presented as an optional challenge honoring a longtime CFR member who passed away in 2017; the distance reflects that connection. Awards are given for top finishers in the 5K and for age-group placements, and a special finisher's medal is presented to those who complete the 7.3K challenge.
Registration for the 2027 event is open with tiered early bird pricing: $45 from June 14, 2026 through December 31, 2026; $55 from January 1, 2027 through March 31, 2027; and $65 from April 1, 2027 through June 9, 2027. There is no same-day registration. Registrations completed by May 10 include a specialty event T-shirt, a lunch ticket, and a day pass to Carolina Foothills Resort. Registrations after May 10 receive those items while supplies last.
Carolina Foothills Resort requires background check approval for all first-time visitors before admittance through the gate. The event provides on-site lunch for registrants as part of the registration benefits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
