Hollis Heat: Time Trials
Hollis Heat: Time Trials is a timed running event held at Hollis Hills Farm, 762 Hinton Creek Road, Ellenboro, NC. The event offers multiple timed-distance options and uses a looped course around the farm.
The course is a 3-mile loop that includes an out-and-back fire road section. The elevation gain on the pre-loop is about 200 feet. An on-course aid station will be stocked with basic food items such as pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit, and bacon, and will offer water, Tailwind, and various sodas. First aid supplies will be available at the aid station. If a participant withdraws from the event, they are asked to notify race staff.

Racing details and rules note that bibs must be worn on the front of the shirt or shorts and remain visible for the duration of the event. Trekking poles are permitted. Weather conditions may include rain and fog. The race has a 10-hour cutoff for participants where applicable. Medals are handmade pottery from BlueGill Pottery and are unique to each finisher.
Additional notes state that the event is private so unregistered participants are not permitted. Entry fees are treated as donations to the farm and are non-refundable.
