Long Night In Lanford
On November 21, 2026 in Enoree, South Carolina, Long Night In Lanford is a dusk to dawn trail event organized by G.O.A.T. Trail Running. Participants run repeated laps on a short loop. To be recorded as a finisher a participant must complete the first lap at dusk and the final lap at dawn. The overall winner is the person who completes the most laps by sunrise. There are no cut off times and no minimum pace; participants may walk, jog, or run.
The course is a 1 mile off road loop. It starts at a barn on gravel, drops downhill into woods, opens into a field along Beaverdam Creek, passes through pine trees and hay pastures, and returns to the barn on gravel. Expect uneven terrain and wildlife typical of a Southern fall night. No strollers or pets are allowed.
Participants are expected to carry their own light sources for night running. An aid station will be stocked through the night with snacks, water, and hot food. Horn blasts will mark the race start, a nighttime direction change, and the final lap at dawn.
Gates open midday on the event day and packet pickup is available that day. There is space for tents and crew setups. Post race items include professional race photos, hot breakfast at sunrise, awards for top finishers, and t shirts guaranteed for entrants registered by October 15. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
