One Epic Run

One Epic Run takes place at Croft State Park in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The event is set within a 7,000-acre wooded landscape that previously served as a World War II army training base. Participants navigate a course that utilizes a 5 km loop located on the Southside of the park property.

The event features a 24-hour duration where runners track their progress using a manual timing system. Participants report their own results at the conclusion of their run. To keep track of progress, participants place a rock in a cup for every lap they complete on the course.

This is a cup-less event, meaning runners are responsible for providing their own hydration vessels. The aid station relies on a community format where participants are encouraged to bring a dish to share with others.

The park terrain includes over 45 miles of trails and the 165-acre Lake Craig. Access to the venue requires an admission fee to the state park for adults, seniors, and children, while those aged five and younger enter for free. Camping reservations are available through the park for those wishing to stay on-site. The race check-in area is located near the main park office adjacent to Campground loop 1.
