OUTLAST New Orleans - 6 Hour Trail Challenge

OUTLAST New Orleans is scheduled for 02/13/2027 in Mandeville, Louisiana (62883 LA-1089, 70448). The event is a six hour trail endurance challenge in which participants run a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be completed within the hour to remain in the event; finishing early allows rest until the next round, while a missed lap eliminates the participant.

Courses use trail terrain with natural surfaces, elevation changes, and unpredictable conditions. Some sections may include pavement or gravel. Between laps there is time to recover, refuel, and prepare for the next 5K.

Awards and items provided:

• Completing four laps earns a Bronze "Grit Earned" leather patch.
• Completing five laps earns a Silver "Survivor" leather patch.
• Completing all six laps earns a Premium "OUTLAST" wooden medal. All participants receive an OUTLAST tee and sticker. Top male and female finishers at each event are recognized for fastest combined 5K times.

The event is part of a national series with a leaderboard. The fastest runner across all OUTLAST six hour events is crowned National Champion and receives $1,000. City champions and the top 100 national times earn opportunities to compete in the Outlast Championship; separate prize money is awarded at the Championship.

Support and logistics: aid stations at basecamp offer water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event so participants should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up a personal tent or aid station. Suggested equipment includes trail shoes, layers, and fuel between laps.
