Outlast New Orleans

Mandeville, United States • 20 Dec 2025

Event format and course

OUTLAST New Orleans is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge held on a loop course. Runners complete a 5K lap every hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event; those who fail to finish a lap on time are removed. Participants who finish early may rest until the next round. Courses are trail-based with natural terrain, including dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation; some sections may include pavement or gravel. Walking is allowed as long as the lap is completed within the hour.

Location, entry and awards

The event takes place on December 20, 2025, at Fontainebleau State Park, 62883 LA-1089, Mandeville, LA 70448. Entry pricing is tiered: $80 (early), $90 (standard), $100 (late), and $110 (race weekend, if spots remain). The listed event fee includes an OUTLAST T-shirt and sticker for all participants. Finish milestones earn patches or a medal: 4 laps = Bronze leather patch, 5 laps = Silver leather patch, 6 laps = a wooden OUTLAST medal. Top male and female at each event receive the 1st Place OUTLAST award based on combined 5K times. Finishers who complete all six laps are eligible for national leaderboard ranking; the fastest runner across all OUTLAST events receives a $1,000 national prize. Aid is provided at basecamp/loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks; the event is cupless, so runners should bring their own bottle or hydration system.
