Q50 Races Bleau Moon, Fontainebleau State Park, Mandeville LA
Q50 Races Bleau Moon is a night trail running event held at Fontainebleau State Park. It is the 14th edition and offers two course options:
- 10 miles
- 5 miles
The course is described as pretty flat and follows a looped layout. Ten mile participants pass one combined water and food station at the end of the five mile loop. There is no aid station on the 5 mile course. Every participant must supply their own hydration container; water and Gatorade will be dispensed by volunteers. Hand sanitizer will be available.
Participants are required to bring a flashlight or headlight, spare batteries, and a whistle. Organizers ask runners to line up at the start according to their minutes per mile as a courtesy to other participants. There is a $3 per person park entrance fee. On-site registration is listed for an evening window; online registration closes Wednesday, August 12 at 11:59 PM CT. Organizers also note a no mileage-switching policy on race day.
The event notice recommends following common sense hygiene, attending to personal health and safety, carrying mosquito repellent, and bringing personal hydration supplies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
