Q50 Races Bleau Moon 5 and 10 Miles
Q50 Races Bleau Moon is a night trail event held at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville, LA. The course is a single loop with the start and finish at the main pavilion. The surface is trail; the route will be marked with night tape and glow sticks and Q50 volunteers will be positioned along the course.
Distances:
- 5 miles
- 10 miles
Only one aid station will be available at the start/finish; paper cups will not be provided. Ten mile participants pass the aid station at the end of the 5 mile loop. All runners must supply their own hydration container; water and Gatorade will be dispensed by volunteers only. The event follows a minimal paper and plastic policy.
The race will be conducted with pandemic-era precautions and social distancing measures consistent with park approvals. Participants must be medically fit and self-sufficient on the course. A time limit of 2 hours 30 minutes applies to both distances.
Park entry requires a $3 per person fee; seniors 62 and older and children under 3 are exempt from that fee. Prohibited on the course are dogs, pacers, baby strollers, bicycles, and earphones. Mandatory gear includes a headlight with batteries, a whistle, and a water bottle or camelback. Runners must carry out their trash and respect park rules.
