Last Wolf Howling - October 31, 2026

Last Wolf Howling is organized as a Last Person Standing event. The race location is being moved; the current planned site is private property in White's Crossing, about 6 miles east of Wiggins, MS near Highway 26. The exact address and final directions will be released the week of the race.

The course is a roughly 2 mile loop listed as 2.08 miles on the course map. It is wooded, mostly shaded, flat, and run on double track trail. The course is a double lollipop design with both ends extending from a central start and finish area. Elevation change is minimal and the exact route will be clearly marked and published shortly.

Runners complete one loop every 30 minutes. Each loop must be started and finished within the 30 minute time limit. The event continues with repeated loops until only one runner is able to complete a solo lap. The format allows the last runner standing to continue to pursue 100 miles.

Official results report mileage completed and rank runners by distance; DNFs are not issued. Every runner who completes at least one loop will receive a finisher medal. Runners who reach 100 miles will receive a buckle.

Support features include a fully stocked aid station offering meals, snacks, and beverages, crew tent areas near the start on a first come basis, a designated uncrewed runner tent, and porto potties at the Start/Finish area. Pacers are not allowed. Crewing on course is prohibited; runners may receive assistance only from other runners. Between loops participants may rest at their tent, the aid area, or elsewhere off course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
