Last Wolf Howling
Last Wolf Howling is a Last Person Standing running event held on a short loop trail. The course is a 2.08 mile wooded, mostly shaded and flat double track laid out as a double lollipop. Elevation change is very minimal. Exact course route and additional elevation details will be released during race week.
Runners complete the loop once every 30 minutes; 24 hours of laps equals 100 miles. Each loop must be started and finished within the 30 minute interval. The race continues until only one runner is able to complete a solo lap. A special feature allows the final runner to continue solo to reach 100 miles.
The organizer is relocating the race site due to nearby land use concerns; registration remains open but credit card charges will be held until the new site is confirmed. The event notes a planned private property site near Wiggins, MS and that exact address and directions will be released race week.
Support and logistics include a fully stocked aid station with meals, snacks and beverages, crew tent areas near the start, a designated tent for uncrewed runners, and porta potties. Crews must use the camp area and may not assist runners on course. Pacers are not allowed. Results will show official mileage without DNFs; runners who complete at least one loop receive a finisher medal and those reaching 100 miles receive a buckle. Refund and credit options are described at registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
