Nuthatch Nonsense is a trail race held Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Sand Run Metro Park in Akron, Ohio. The event is a 15K and was formerly called Mingo Madness. The course features more than 1,000 feet of climb and uses primitive single-track sections on the Dogwood and Nuthatch (Mingo) Loops, plus an out-and-back section on a jogging trail. The start and finish are at the North Hawkins Area, 400 N Hawkins Ave, Akron 44313.

Registration and race details

Packet pickup on race day is available from 7:00 am to 7:45 am at the start/finish area. Registration pricing is $55, rising to $65 after July 31. There are no race day entries in accordance with Summit Metro Parks regulations. Pricing includes a race t-shirt and medal; the deadline to guarantee a shirt is September 20. Awards are given to overall first, second, and third male and female, masters male and female, and first place in each age group. Registration closes Friday, October 3 at 11:59 PM ET.
