Course and distances
The course is a repeated 5-mile loop that runs on the Ohio Erie Canal Towpath and the Olde Muskingum Trail, returning through the park camping area. Surfaces are packed crushed limestone, with short-cut grass through the camping area. Road shoes are acceptable.

- 25K (new for 2025; 25K registrants cannot move up)
- Relay teams aiming for 100 miles
Runners (except 25K) may change their completed distance; the final distance must be reported to the timer.
Support, rules and logistics
One main aid station is located at the park pavilion. Water stations are on course at about mile 1, mile 2.5 and mile 4. The event is cupless; runners must carry a reusable cup for drinks. Crew may set up anywhere in the park but may not take food from the aid station. Pacers may join a runner after the runner completes two loops; only one pacer at a time and pacers may use aid station food and drink. Camping is free; RV spots are limited. Each runner receives one free beer from Lockport Brewery; additional beer and branded pint glasses are available for purchase.
Finishing medals and buckles are presented at completion of the chosen distance. Age group awards are not offered; special recognition replaces them for military veterans. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
