Eagle Up Ultra - Canal Fulton, OH
Eagle Up Ultra is organized as a 24 hour ultramarathon held at St. Helena Park in Canal Fulton, Ohio. The event uses a five mile loop that follows the Ohio Erie Canal Towpath and the Olde Muskingum Trail, with packed crushed limestone surfaces and a short grassy section through the camping area. Road shoes are acceptable for the course.
Aid is centered at the park pavilion. The aid station offers a range of food, including sweets, salty snacks, fruit, and hot food later in the day. Water is available along the course at approximately mile 1, mile 2.5, and mile 4. The race follows a cupless policy; runners must carry a reusable cup for fluids. Cups will be provided for coffee and warm soup or broth.
Other event details:
- 24 hour individual on repeated 5 mile loops
- 25K (added in 2025); 25K registrants cannot change distance
- Relay teams aiming for 100 miles in 24 hours
Pacers may join after a runner completes two loops, one pacer at a time; pacers may use aid station food and drink. Crew may set up anywhere in the park but may not take food from the aid station. Camping in the park is free; RV space is limited. Each runner receives one free beer from Lockport Brewery and additional beer and branded pint glasses are available for purchase.
Finishing medals and buckles are given immediately upon completing a chosen distance. No age group awards are presented; the event provides special recognition in place of age group prizes for military veterans. The event partners with Team RWB and donates a portion of each registration. Refunds are not offered; a full credit deferral to the following year is allowed up to three weeks before the race and may be used for one year only.
