Cuyahoga Valley 5K

Cuyahoga Valley Cross Country 5K and Kids Dash : Akron, OH (June 6, 2026)

This event day features a cross-country 5K and a separate 1-mile kids dash, held near Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Old Trail School in Akron, Ohio. The 5K follows natural, wooded trails that pass in and out of the park and include forest views and rolling hills. The course has a total elevation gain of 112 feet. Jogging strollers are not recommended for the 5K because of the terrain and limited accessibility.

The kids dash runs on a flat, all-grass loop around Old Trail School’s athletic fields and solar array. Parents and other adults may join children on the course. For awards, the top three finishers in the men’s and women’s divisions and in the boys’ and girls’ divisions (under 16) in the 5K will receive medals. Every child ages 4 and up in the Kids Dash receives a finisher medal. Published entry fees list $40 for the 5K and $5 (or $12 with a race day T-shirt) for the Kids Dash.
