Akron, United States • 6 Jun 2026

Event Overview

The Cuyahoga Valley Cross Country 5K takes place at Old Trail School in Akron, Ohio. The event features a route that utilizes natural trails within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Participants can choose between two primary distances:

  • 5K Cross Country Run
  • 1-Mile Kids Dash

The 5K course consists of wooded trails and rolling hills, featuring a total elevation gain of 112 feet. Due to the natural terrain and forest conditions, jogging strollers are not recommended for this particular distance. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in the men’s and women’s divisions, as well as the top three boys and girls under the age of 16.

The 1-Mile Kids Dash is a separate event held on a flat, all-grass loop around the athletic fields and solar array of the Old Trail School. This course is accessible for jogging strollers, and adults are permitted to run alongside the children. Every participant aged 4 and up in the Kids Dash receives a finisher medal.

The event site is located at 2315 Ira Rd, Akron, OH. Registration includes options for an early-bird period which guarantees a t-shirt. On-site sign-in and packet pickup are available on the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
