Around the Beach
Around the Beach is organized at Munroe Falls Metro Park and uses paved paths that circle the lake. The main course consists of two loops around the lake. The route is hilly and paved and includes a short out and back on a service road.
The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5K road race, two loops around the lake.
- 1.55 mile fun walk, one loop around the lake.
- Virtual 5K can be run anywhere and results submitted.
The event is friendly to strollers and to four-legged companions. Participants receive a custom tech shirt and a custom finishers medal. The finish area will include treats and live DJ music. The organizer will celebrate a range of finishing paces with awards for overall Female and Male winners in places one through three and awards by age group. Age groups are under 10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus.
Packet pick-up is available at the race site both before the event and on the day of the event. The event also includes some team competitions described by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
