Around the Beach : Munroe Falls Metro Park
Around the Beach takes place on June 13, 2026, at Munroe Falls Metro Park, 521 South River Rd, Munroe Falls, OH 44262. The in-person course follows the paved path around the lake and uses two loops; the route is described as hilly.
The event includes these options:
- 5K race on the two-loop course
- 1.55 mile fun walk (untimed) one loop around the lake
- Virtual 5K run anywhere and submit results
Participants receive a custom tech shirt and a custom finisher medal. There will be treats at the finish area and live DJ music. The course accommodates strollers and four-legged companions.
Awards are given to overall Female and Male finishers for places 1 through 3. Additional awards are presented for the following age groups: under 10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus. The event also includes team competitions with categories noted for the hairiest and the largest.
Packet pick-up is available the day before the event at the race site and on race day at the race site. For the virtual option, participants may run remotely, submit results and photos, and shirts will be shipped prior to race day if they arrive in time.
