Event Overview
The Around the Beach event features timed and untimed options on a paved, hilly path within Munroe Falls Metro Park. The route consists of two loops around a lake, with a slight modification from previous years that includes a short out-and-back section on a service road. The event also includes a shorter walking option.
Event Distances
- 5k: A timed running event consisting of two laps around the lake.
- 1.55 mile Fun Walk: An untimed, single-loop walking event.
Additional Information
The course is described as suitable for participants with strollers and dogs. All participants receive a custom technical shirt and a finisher's medal. Post-race refreshments are available at the finish line, and there is live music from a DJ and a ukulele player.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as winners in age categories ranging from under 10 to 80+. The event also features lighthearted team competitions. Early packet pickup is available on Friday at a separate location in Medina, while race-day pickup starts at 6:30 AM at the event site.
