The North Chilterns 50K is a trail ultramarathon held from Putteridge Bury Country House in Bedfordshire. The race distance is 50km with approximately 798m of elevation gain. The next listed edition is on 21 November 2026. The event is limited to 250 runners, has a time limit of 8 hours 45 minutes, and requires entrants to be at least 20 years old. Route, facilities and support

The route follows local trails including the Chiltern Way towards Lilley, Warden and Barton Hills, then the Pegsdon Hills and on to Offley. Notable viewpoints include Warden Hill and Barton and Pegsdon Hills. The course is fully marked with orange arrow markers and ribbons and will have marshals at key points; runners must carry a digital route backup on a watch or phone. There are three aid stations: CP1 Arnold Rec, Barton (14.3km), CP2 The View (28km) and CP3 Offley Village Hall (37.2km); each checkpoint has toilets and supplies such as water, Coke, Precision Fuel & Hydration products, snacks and fresh fruit. The event base offers indoor registration, toilets, hot drinks and direct access to trails. Mandatory kit includes a mobile phone, route map on watch/phone, windproof or waterproof jacket and a refillable hydration system (0.5L minimum).
