The Nicky Nook Fell Race takes place on Thursday 7 May 2026 at The Shippon at the Applestore Café, Wyresdale Park, Snowhill Lane, Scorton, PR3 1BA. The course is a fell route of approximately 5 miles (about 8 km) with roughly 310 m of ascent. The course is partially flagged. The final off-road descent is only available to use on race night by permission of the landowner; anyone recceing the route should use the main track instead. The race is licensed by the Fell Runners Association under UKA rules and has associated permit and insurance.

Teams are not allowed and there are no junior races. The minimum age to enter is 16. A free soup and roll is provided for all runners after the race; other food and drink will be available to buy. There is a good amount of free parking at the Applestore.

Entry, fees and kit

Entries open 1 January 2026 and close 5 May 2026. Pre-entry is available via SiEntries at a fee of £8.00. Entry on the day is possible at the same fee (£8.00) only if the overall entry limit of 140 runners has not been reached. FRA mandatory minimum kit must be carried by each runner and will be checked before collecting race numbers. Required kit includes a waterproof full body cover with taped seams and an integrated hood, a hat (not a buff), gloves, an appropriate map, compass, whistle and emergency food.
