Route Details

This recce covers the route from Caldbeck to Threlkeld, a distance of 12 miles with 3600 feet of ascent and descent. The terrain includes initial lanes and trails, followed by remote open fell with small grassy paths, rocky sections, and the descent of Hallsfell Ridge. Key features of the route are the ford across the River Caldew and the ascent of Blencathra.
