Event
The NAV4 Daffodil Run & Walk is scheduled for 28 March 2026. The event began in 2016 to support local pubs and shops after flood damage to Pooley Bridge and has continued annually. It accepts solo and family team entries and uses electronic timing and monitoring. Entry fees listed are: Solo £20 per person; Family teams (maximum 6) £20 per person or £5 per person under 14.
Route and format
The route is an out-and-back from Pooley Bridge to Hallin Fell, passing The Cockpit and Martindale Church. The surface is a mix of trails and paths, some wet underfoot, a short section of tarmac lane and open slopes on Hallin Fell. The route is signposted and marshals will staff key points. There are two drinks stations on the route; each is passed twice on the out-and-back course. Walkers and slower runners may turn back at support points.
Logistics and requirements
Registration, start and finish take place at Pooley Bridge Memorial Hall. A kit list will be issued nearer the event and participants are asked to bring sensible hill kit. Runners aged 14-18 may start in the runners’ starts if accompanied by an adult. Free tea, coffee, cold drinks and a tray bake are provided in the village hall after the event.
