Pooley Bridge, United Kingdom • 28 Mar 2026

Event overview

The NAV4 Daffodil Run and Walk is scheduled for Saturday 28 March 2026. The event starts and finishes at Pooley Bridge Memorial Hall, CA10 2NL, and is organised by NAV4. It began in 2016 to support Pooley Bridge after the loss of its bridge and has been held annually since. Electronic timing and monitoring are used. The event has three start windows for walkers, slower or non-competitive runners, and faster runners. No late starters are permitted.

Route and facilities

The route is an out-and-back to Hallin Fell. It is a mixture of trails and paths, some wet underfoot, a short section of tarmac lane, and the open slopes of Hallin Fell on a reasonably good path. The course is sign-posted and marshals are placed at key points. There are two drinks stations on the route; each is passed twice.

  • 13 miles full out-and-back route
  • 10 miles turn-back option at Martindale Church
  • 6 miles turn-back option at The Sitting Stone

Participants register, start and finish in Pooley Bridge Memorial Hall. Free tea, coffee, cold drinks and a tray bake are available in the village hall after the run or walk. Pubs and cafes in Pooley are also nearby.
