NAV4 Daffodil Run and Walk
NAV4 stages an out-and-back run and walk that starts and finishes at Pooley Bridge Memorial Hall and follows the Ullswater Way to Hallin Fell. The full route covers 13 miles and runs via The Cockpit and Martindale Church, returning the same way. The course is signposted, with marshals at key points, and requires no special navigation skills.
The surface is a mix of good trails and paths, some wet underfoot, a short section of tarmac lane, and the open slopes of Hallin Fell on a reasonably good path. Electronic timing and monitoring are used. There is a checkpoint and drinks station at Martindale Church, which participants pass twice.
Entry options allow participants to choose how far to go. Family group entries are accepted; family teams are limited to six people. Group or club entries may be eligible for a discount code if arranged with the organiser before entry. Entry fees noted by the organiser include Solo at £20 per person and Family teams at £20 per person or £5 per person for those under 14.
Post event, free tea, coffee, cold drinks and a tray bake are available in the village hall. Pubs and cafes in Pooley Bridge are also nearby for additional refreshments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
