NAV4 Daffodil Run & Walk
The NAV4 Daffodil Run & Walk takes place on Saturday 28 March 2026 in Pooley Bridge. The event is open to walkers and runners and allows family or solo entries. Registration, start and finish are at Pooley Bridge Memorial Hall. Electronic timing and monitoring will be used. Entry fees listed include Solo: £20 and Family teams (max 6): £20 per person or £5 per person under 14. Runners aged 14-18 may join the runners' starts if accompanied by an adult and must be entered as individual runners, not as part of a family entry.
Route and logistics
The route is an out-and-back from Pooley Bridge to Hallin Fell via The Cockpit and Martindale Church. Surfaces include trails and paths, some wet underfoot, a short section of tarmac lane and open slopes on Hallin Fell. The full distance is 13 miles. Support and facilities include event marshals at key points, simple sign-posting, two drinks stations that are passed twice, and free tea, coffee, cold drinks and a tray bake in the hall after the event. Sensible hill kit is required; organisers will issue a recommended kit list before the event. There are three start windows for walkers, slower/non-competitive runners and faster runners. Walkers and slower runners may turn around at intermediate support points and return to Pooley Bridge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
