NAV4 Daffodil Run

Pooley Bridge, United Kingdom • 28 Mar 2026

Event overview

The Daffodil Run & Walk is an outdoor event on Saturday 28 March 2026 that is open to walkers and runners. It was established in 2016 and supports the local Pooley Bridge and Ullswater area. The full route is 13 miles and is run as an out-and-back, so participants may stop and return at intermediate points. Registration and the event centre are at Pooley Village Hall. Runners aged 14 to 18 may take part in the runners' start if accompanied by an adult. Sensible hill kit is required; organisers will issue a recommended kit list closer to the event.

Route and logistics

The course runs from Pooley Bridge to Hallin Fell via The Cockpit and Martindale Church, then returns the same way. Terrain includes good trails and paths, some wet sections, a short tarmac lane and the open slopes of Hallin Fell. The route will be signposted and marshals will be at key points; no special navigation skills are needed. There are two drinks stations on the route, each passed twice. Walkers and slower runners may turn around at support points and return to Pooley. Free tea, coffee, cold drinks and a tray bake will be available in the village hall for participants after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
