NAV4 LAW75 is a two-day winter endurance event on Saturday 7th to Sunday 8th February 2026. The route covers 75 miles from Skipton to Appleby. The event is organised by NAV4, has a maximum of 100 places, entry fee of £150, and had 42 participants entered at the time of posting. Entries open 29 May 2025 and close 25 January 2026.

Route and support

The route follows Lady Anne's Way with minor sections on The Dales Way and the Pennine Journey. Major indoor checkpoints are at Kettlewell (about 23 miles), Askrigg (about 38 miles) and Winton/Kirkby Stephen (about 61 miles). These major checkpoints provide hot and cold drinks, soup, food, toilets and drop-bag access. Minor vehicle points are sited every 6-8 miles to provide water, hot drinks and safety monitoring. Participants each carry a GPS tracker provided by Open Tracking.

Logistics and kit

The event starts at Skipton Castle and finishes at the Market Cross in Appleby, with a nearby finish reception venue. The Settle-to-Carlisle railway and local buses serve parts of the route and are suggested for travel and recces; organisers also run dedicated recce support for the middle section. Navigation uses established footpaths, bridleways and waymarkers; basic map and compass skills are recommended. Mandatory kit includes waterproof jacket and overtrousers, thermal layers (upper and lower), an additional warm layer, an emergency overlayer, hat and gloves, survival bag, headtorch with spare batteries, map, compass, whistle, mobile phone, food and water. Two winter races from Great Owl Running on 24 January 2026 at Kirkstall Bridge. A roughly 16 km multi terrain route follows the canal and River Aire while a 10 km out and back runs along the canal.

Take on The Half & Half 10 km on 25 January 2026 at Sowerby Bridge for a split terrain challenge. Rugged muddy trails and obstacles give way to a tarmac finish, entries are limited to 100 and hoodies are available to pre order.
