NAV4 LAW75 is a two-day winter navigation event held Saturday 7th to Sunday 8th February 2026. The route covers 75 miles from Skipton to Appleby and is based mainly on Lady Anne's Way, with some sections on the Dales Way and the Pennine Journey. The event is limited to 100 places; entry fee is £150. Entries open 29 May 2025 and close 25 January 2026. The start is at Skipton Castle and the finish is at the Market Cross in Appleby. Registration is at Skipton Town Hall, High Street, Skipton BD23 1AH.

Route, support and requirements

The route follows established footpaths, bridleways and trails and is largely waymarked. There are three major indoor checkpoints at Kettlewell (about 23 miles), Askrigg (about 38 miles) and Winton (Kirkby Stephen, about 61 miles) offering hot and cold drinks, soup, food nibbles, toilets and drop bag access. Minor vehicle points are sited every 6-8 miles for water and basic support. Each participant carries a GPS tracker. The event is self-supported and no support crews are permitted. Mandatory kit includes waterproof jacket and overtrousers, thermal base layers, an additional warm layer, an emergency overlayer, hat and gloves, survival bag, headtorch with spare batteries, map and compass, whistle, mobile phone, food and water.
