NATRO Native American Trail Marathon Championship : event overview

The annual NATRO at Soboba trail event takes place at The Oaks on the Soboba Indian Reservation in San Jacinto, CA. This edition includes the first NATRO Native American Trail Running Organization Marathon Championship alongside shorter distances.

Native and Open divisions are offered. Awards for top male and female finishers are given in all distances except the Kids 3k. Marathon entrants are subject to an 8 hour cut-off time and no drop downs are allowed between races. There is a 100 entrant cap. Finisher awards are provided in all divisions and distances. T-shirts are reserved for the first 100 registrants. Race-day registration will accept cash and Zelle; check-in and bib pickup are handled on race morning.

The course is currently under construction. The event is cupless. Part of the proceeds will support the Noli Indian School scholar athlete scholarship and the school athletic department. The event mission emphasizes empowerment of Native American communities through celebration of culture, connection to land, and promotion of wellness through trail running. A multi-distance loop ultrarun at a private ranch in Riverside, CA, featuring one-mile laps, timed solo and relay options, free on-site camping, and awards for distance milestones over Memorial Day weekend.

Experience a unique desert night run under the Full Buck Moon on a scenic looped course. Choose between distances ranging from 9 miles to a 50k ultramarathon through manzanita groves and single track trails.

A Spartan obstacle weekend at Lake Elsinore Raceway features Sprint 5K, Super 10K, kids races, and multi-hour Hurricane Heat events on rugged, open terrain near a large natural freshwater lake.

A multi-format running event on the Cahuilla Indian Reservation in Anza, California, offering fixed-time races, a 100-mile option, a half marathon and a Tribal Member 5k while fundraising for youth and family programs.
