The ANNUAL NATRO@NOLI INDIAN SCHOOL trail race is set on the Soboba Indian Reservation at The Oaks in San Jacinto, CA. Distances offered include:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 5k
- Kids 3k (age 12 and under)
Native and Open divisions are available. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in all distances except the Kids 3k. Finisher awards and T-shirts are provided. A discount is offered for Native runners; proof of tribal affiliation is required to receive the discount. The event is limited to 100 entrants and will proceed rain or shine. No category changes (drop downs) are allowed. Twenty-five percent of registration, sponsorship, and donation proceeds will support a scholar/athlete scholarship for a Noli Indian School student.
Course and logistics
The Marathon is a two-loop 13.1-mile course. Elevation gain is listed as more than 2,000 feet for the Marathon and more than 1,000 feet for the Half Marathon. Terrain includes hills, sand, rock, single track, stream crossings, and fire roads. The 5k is a single loop with sandy sections and short hills and is not stroller friendly. Aid stations are listed as six for the Marathon, three for the Half Marathon, and one for the 5k, supplying water and electrolytes. A bag drop area is available near the start/finish for Marathon runners. The event will be cup-less. Race-day registration may be offered with cash and Zelle payments.
