Machete Muertos is a multi-distance trail event held at Lake Perris, organized by Machete Trail Madness. The event includes the following distances:

The 200 mile distance is described by the organizers as highly demanding. The course for the longest race accumulates over 44,000 feet of elevation gain and follows technical terrain with a 96 hour cutoff. The 20 mile course used by the 20 mile ruck, 100, and 200 mile distances has about 4,500 feet of elevation gain per lap. The 10 and 50 mile races use a roughly 10 mile loop with about 2,300 feet of gain per lap.
Aid station locations include a full aid station at mile 6 for the 10 and 50 mile races, and aid stations at miles 8 and 13 for the 20 mile ruck, 100, and 200 mile courses. Pacer rules differ by distance: no pacers for the 10 mile or ruck division; limited pacers for 50, 100, and 200 mile runners once specified lap requirements are met. Cutoff times are 96 hours for 200 miles, 48 hours for 100 miles, 24 hours for 50 miles, 12 hours for the ruck, and no cutoff for the 10 mile.
The event offers a group campground near the start and transition area, with camping available from Tuesday after 12:00 PM until checkout Monday by 10:00 AM.
