Course, aid and logistics
The fixed-time races and the 100 mile use a runnable 2-mile loop on double-track dirt road. The loop has about 170 feet of elevation gain; the 100-mile total gain is about 8,500 feet. The half marathon follows reservation roads for about 13 miles with roughly 1,500 feet of climb and four aid stations at miles 4.5, 6, 7.5 and 10. An aid station at the softball field will offer hot food and typical aid station items; there are non-porta-potty bathrooms on site.
RV parking is allowed at no additional cost and is limited to 20 spots. Tent camping is permitted on the softball field and car camping is allowed in the adjacent dirt lot. Half marathon entrants are not offered overnight camping to preserve space for fixed-time participants. New 2026 rules state that runners must stay in the race category they registered for; fixed-time races record official mileage only within the chosen time limit.
