Nanny Goat is a multi-distance loop race held at a private horse ranch in Riverside, California. The course is a flat, one-mile loop on mostly dirt and grass with good footing and a trail wide enough to allow passing. Support is available within about a half mile.
The event format asks participants to complete as many laps as possible within the allotted time, either solo or as a relay team of up to four runners. Camping is available on site with space for tents, trailers, and RVs; swimming and play space for children are provided. Camping is free and sites are available starting Thursday morning through Monday morning.
Awards and participant items vary by event. The 100-mile race offers a buckle for finishes under 30 hours and a special buckle for sub-24 hour finishes. Relay teams that complete a cumulative 100 miles within 24 hours receive a special relay buckle for each team member. Participants in the 6-hour, 12-hour, and 24-hour events receive a T-shirt, a drop bag with running items, and a medal. For 2026 all runners who complete one lap qualify for a medal.
Registration is open with tiered pricing that increases on March 28. Active duty military, police, firefighters, and first responders receive a 10 percent discount. No refunds; rollovers considered case-by-case. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
