Mt Baldy Run to the Top

The Mt Baldy Run to the Top is an annual trail running event organized by the San Antonio Canyon Town Hall. Held on Labor Day in the Angeles National Forest, the race spans a distance of 7+ miles through mountain terrain. The course features a significant elevation gain, beginning at the entrance of the Ski Lifts parking lot at an altitude of 6,000 feet and concluding at the summit of Mt Baldy at 10,064 feet.

Participants follow a route that requires remaining on designated trails at all times. There are four established aid and water stations located along the course to support runners. Professional timing is used to record results, and the timing period concludes three hours after the race start.

The event includes the following distance:

  • 7+ miles (approx. 11.3 km)

Registration includes a race shirt, parking, and a finisher medal awarded at the summit for those who finish within the timed window. After reaching the finish line, participants must complete a 3.5 mile hike back to the ski lifts. Please note that the ski lift ride down to the parking area is not included in the entry fee. The event is held regardless of weather conditions, and specific rules of conduct prohibit the use of earbuds, headphones, radios, poles, or pets on the course. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three in various divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
