Mt Baldy Run to the Top
The Mt Baldy Run to the Top is a trail running race organized by San Antonio Canyon Town Hall and held in the Angeles National Forest. The event for 2027 is planned as the 62nd annual edition on Labor Day, September 6, 2027. The course is just over 7 miles, beginning near the Ski Lifts parking area at about 6,000 feet and finishing on the summit of Mt Baldy at 10,064 feet. After overhead costs, race proceeds are used for community programs and donations that support local services and attractions.
Registration options include online entry and a mail-in registration form, and gift certificates for registration are offered. Onsite registration is available on race day. The event is rain or shine. Participants receive a race shirt; a finisher medal is awarded at the finish line but is not guaranteed for late finishers. A 3.5 mile hike back to the lifts is required after finishing and ski lift rides are not included. The race uses professional timing and posts results, provides four aid and water stations, and presents overall and divisional awards three deep. Entry is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Event rules prohibit earbuds, headphones, radios, poles, and pets; runners must remain on the designated trail, yield to uphill traffic when returning from the finish, and not impede Mt Baldy Road.
