The Muskie Madness is an unmeasured 10 km multi-terrain race that takes place at the Marine Academy Plymouth. The route incorporates different surfaces, including sections on roads that remain open to traffic as well as wooded trail segments. The course profile is not flat and includes several hills throughout the distance.

The venue at Marine Academy Plymouth provides several facilities for participants on the day of the event. These amenities include toilets, showers, and a designated bag drop area. Water stations are positioned along the course to provide hydration, and food and drink options are available at the site.
