Race The Tide

Race The Tide takes place at the Flete Estate in Mothecombe, South Devon. The event offers three races that use private estate tracks, footpaths beside the Erme estuary, bridle paths and sections of the South West Coast Path. Courses are fully marked, marshaled by runners, and served by well-stocked aid stations. First aid is available on course and at the event headquarters. Dogs are not permitted with runners during the race.

Distances and key race details:

• 8.5 miles Woodland Trail on the private Flete Estate; racing the tide at 7 miles.
• 15.5 miles LONG Half-Marathon; racing the tide at 7 miles; 3 aid stations.
• 28.5 miles LONG Marathon; racing the tide at 20 miles; 4 aid stations.

To finish the Long Marathon and the Half Marathon successfully entrants must maintain an average speed of about 4 mph. Free parking is usually available (typically priced at £6.00 per day). Finishers receive a bespoke event medal. Event t-shirts and other OuterEdge merchandise are available to purchase or reserve through the SiEntries system. The event is cupless: competitors must carry their own water capacity as specified and carry compulsory kit.
