Roadford Lake Trail Races

The event offers trail races around Roadford Lake in Devon, run entirely off-road. The course for the spring event is run in a different direction to an autumn event on the same trails.

Distances include:

  • Half marathon (two laps of a 10.5 km course)
  • 10 km (one lap)
  • 5 km (one lap)
  • Canicross options for the 10 km and 5 km distances
  • Kids races of 2 km and 1 km for children aged 3-11

There is no overall time limit for the event. Younger children are welcome in the 5 km race at a reduced entry price, but participants under 12 must run with an adult. Adults may run with children in the kids' races at no extra charge.

A race entry includes electronic chip timing, a fully marked and marshalled course, a feed station, a custom finisher's medal, finish line snacks and a beer (including non-alcoholic options), and category prizes. There is a free number transfer if a registered runner is unable to participate.

On-site parking is available for a fee. Lakeside camping is offered for those wishing to make a weekend of the event, which also features open water swims and triathlons on the preceding and following days. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
