Ivybridge 3 Tops – Dartmoor Fell series

This event is a Dartmoor fell race organised by Erme Valley Harriers and presented as a revival of an older local race. The route and access have been agreed with the main landowners and the Dartmoor National Park Authority. Parking is at a park and ride with a short walk to race headquarters and registration at Ivybridge rugby club, PL21 0LR. After registration there is a warm-up walk of about 1 km to the start on the edge of the moor at grid reference Gr 654569.

The senior race is approximately 10 km with about 450 m of climb. The senior course begins with a climb up Western Beacon, crosses open moor to loop toward Weatherdon, follows some tracked sections and then involves a scramble over tussocky ground to reach Glasscombe Ball. The route descends to a stream crossing at Scada Brook, rises to Ugborough Beacon, crosses Lud Brook, and then returns toward Western for a fast descent to the finish at the rugby club. There are clear tracks and trods in parts of the course, but some off‑piste sections require route finding. A short section of tarmac leads to the finish.

Junior races start and finish at the moor edge location. The event description notes that junior routes will contain some challenging elements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
