Ivybridge 3 Tops
Ivybridge 3 Tops takes place on 15 August 2026 and is organised by Erme Valley Harriers as part of the Dartmoor Fell Series. The senior course is approximately 10 km with about 450 m of climb. The route has been agreed with landowners and DNPA and part of the entry fee supports erosion management on Harford and Ugborough Moors.
The senior route includes a climb up Western Beacon, open moor sections, Weatherdon, Glasscombe Ball, stream crossings at Scada Brook and Lud Brook, a rise to Ugborough Beacon and a fast descent back to the rugby club finish. There are clear tracks and trods in places but off‑piste sections require sound route finding. Runners should expect steep hills and uneven ground and wear suitable footwear. Due to erosion restrictions the route will include mandatory checkpoint marshals.
Logistics note: parking is at the railway station with a short walk to Race HQ and registration at the rugby club. The start is on the edge of the moor at grid reference GR 654569; junior races start and finish there while the senior race finishes back at the rugby club. Take care when crossing the main road on the way to and from the start.
A cut off at Scada Brook (about 3 miles) is set at 60 minutes; competitors failing to meet this will be returned to Race HQ by marshals. The event is held under the rules of the Fell Runners Association, classification BS. Prizes are awarded across senior, U20, veteran categories and junior age groups. Senior entry fee is £9 with an on the day cash option if space allows; junior on the day entry is £1 cash. Juniors minimum age is 6 and junior categories are based on age at 31 December 2026. No water is provided on course and there is no mandatory kit list though a whistle, raincoat and hat are advised in poor weather. Post race refreshments are available at the rugby club.
