Ivybridge 3 Tops, Dartmoor Fell series

The Ivybridge 3 Tops is a Dartmoor fell race scheduled for 15 August 2026 and organised by Erme Valley Harriers. Race headquarters and registration are at Ivybridge rugby club, PL21 0LR. The event follows a Wednesday evening format and includes separate junior races.

The senior course is described as approximately 10 km with about 450 m of climb. The route has open moorland sections and views over the South Hams. The course has been agreed with the main landowners and Dartmoor National Park Authority. Parking is at a park and ride with a short walk to the race HQ, then a warm up walk of about 1 km to the start at the edge of the moor, grid reference Gr 654569. Junior races start and finish at that moor edge; senior races start there and finish back at the rugby club.

The senior route begins with a steep ascent of Western Beacon, then crosses open moor to loop toward Weatherdon. Runners follow some quick tracks, a scramble over tussocks to Glasscombe Ball, and a fast descent to a stream crossing at Scada Brook, followed by a climb to Ugborough Beacon and a second stream crossing at Lud Brook. The final leg returns across to Western for a fast descent to the finish. There are clear tracks and trods in places, but off piste sections require sound route finding.
