Event

The Muddy Boots 10K takes place in Ripon, North Yorkshire on 1 March 2026. The main race is an approximate 10 kilometres and is chip timed. The event is organised by the St Wilfrid's Association with funds used to support activities and improvements at St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School. The race has an entry limit of 500 and typically sees over 300 entries each year. Race licence is subject to approval.

Course and facilities

The course is a single lap multi-terrain route over undulating farmland and countryside, incorporating road, footpaths and trails. The race starts and finishes at St Wilfrid's Catholic Primary School, Church Lane, Ripon, HG4 2ES. The course is not suitable for wheelchair athletes.

Facilities at Race HQ include water stations, distance markers and toilets. There are no changing rooms, showers or baggage storage. Homemade refreshments are available to purchase before, during and after the event. Space at Race HQ is limited and entrants are asked to arrive ready to run.

Main race entry fees are £16 (affiliated) and £18 (unaffiliated). The fun run entry is £5 online or £6 on the day. The fun run is open to all ages; children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.
