Event overview
The 2026 Mt. Tam Wild Boar event is the 38th annual race held on April 25, 2026, at Mt. Tamalpais State Park in Mill Valley, California. The event offers two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
The field is limited to 300 participants. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable; a rollover credit option is available under specified conditions.
Course and logistics
Both courses start at Rock Springs and follow Ridgecrest Boulevard along the spine of Bolinas Ridge, combining paved roadways and dirt single-track trails with views of Bolinas Lagoon, the Pacific Ocean, and local watersheds. 10K runners turn left onto Willow Camp Trail and return to Rock Springs via the Coastal Trail. Half marathoners continue to Bolinas/Fairfax Road and return via the Coastal Trail. The course is marked with orange ribbon; a course monitor will direct 10K runners and the half marathon turnaround is signed.
The event has a 3-hour course cut-off time (13:45 min/mile pace for half marathoners, 29 min/mile for 10Kers). Aid stations: the 10K has one aid station at mile 5; the half marathon has aid at miles 2.35, 7, and 12, plus food and drink at the finish. Bibs are mailed beginning two weeks before the race; unreceived bibs can be picked up at check-in near the Mountain Theater. Parking is available in the Rock Springs parking area. Headphones and other audio devices are not allowed on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
