Course and logistics
Both courses start at Rock Springs and follow Ridgecrest Boulevard along the spine of Bolinas Ridge. The route uses a combination of paved roadways and dirt single-track trails with views of Bolinas Lagoon, the Pacific Ocean and the Marin County watershed. 10K runners turn left onto Willow Camp Trail and return to Rock Springs via the Coastal Trail. Half marathon runners continue to Bolinas/Fairfax Road and also return via the Coastal Trail. The course is marked with orange ribbon; a course monitor will guide 10K runners and the half marathon turnaround is signed.
The course cut-off time is 3 hours. Aid stations are located at mile 5 for the 10K and at miles 2.35, 7 and 12 for the half marathon; additional food and drink is available at the finish. Bibs are mailed beginning two weeks before the event; mailed bibs remove the need to check in. T-shirts are provided to all participants, and all half marathon finishers receive medals. Headphones and other audio devices are not allowed on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
