The Double Dipsea is a challenging 13.7-mile trail race held annually at Stinson Beach, California, celebrating its 55th running in 2025. The course follows the legendary Dipsea Trail from Stinson Beach to Mill Valley and back, featuring steep hills, numerous stairs, and stunning views. Unique to this race is its handicapped start format, where slower runners start first and faster runners last, creating constant passing on the narrow single-track trail. Founded by Walt Stack, the race tests runners' perseverance and adaptability, welcoming all ability levels willing to face its physical and mental demands.
