Redwood (Summer) Trail Run

The Redwood (Summer) Trail Run takes place in Oakland, California, with the main staging area located at the Chabot Space & Science Center annex lot. The event features multiple trail race distances that navigate through Redwood Regional Park. Participants follow paths along the East Ridge and West Ridge trails, which provide views of the surrounding landscape. The routes also transition through groves of tall trees via the Stream and Bridle trails.

Course distances are measured for accuracy using a Rolatape surveyor's measuring wheel. The event offers a variety of distances to accommodate different preferences:

  • 50K trail race
  • Marathon (26.2 miles) trail race
  • 30K trail race
  • Half Marathon (13.1 miles) trail race
  • 5 mile trail race
  • 2 mile run
  • 50 yard dash for children aged 6 and younger

Registration for the various distances is open several months in advance. The event utilizes both ridge-top trails and lower canyon trails within the regional park system. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
