Belmont Water Dog Run : 9th annual
The Belmont Water Dog Run is a community-supported, student-powered event held in Belmont, California on September 26, 2026. The event takes place at Twin Pines Park, 1 Twin Pines Lane, with an on-site race expo next to the start area. Several nearby streets will have race-day road closures and police-assisted access.
Multiple participant options are offered:
- 5K - no dogs allowed
- 10K - no dogs allowed
- 1 Mile - Kid's Fun Run - no dogs allowed
- 1 Mile - Fido Mile - one owner per dog
- Virtual Run or Walk
- Additional Fido Escorts and Parent Escort registration categories
Participants in the 5K, 10K, the kid's 1-mile, and the virtual event receive a race shirt and medal unless they opt out during registration. A discount is applied for each declined item; discounts are limited per registration. Dogs participating in the Fido Mile receive a bandana. Parents who escort a child in the kid's mile must register as Parent Escorts; escorts do not receive shirts or medals. The event notes that the race is not liable for individuals on the course who are not registered.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Palladino Personal Training, 1077 Alameda de las Pulgas, and at the race expo location on event day. The cancellation policy offers a credit of the registration fee minus a processing amount when the organizer is contacted at least ten days before the event; credits are nontransferable and valid through the following calendar year.
