Quarry Turkey 2026 : Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area
Quarry Turkey 2026 is a Thanksgiving weekend road race held at Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area in Fremont, California on November 28, 2026. The event offers a mostly flat course with multiple distance options and a short children's race.
Participants can choose from these distances:
- Half marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Little Turkeys Run (about 100 yards, for children)
There are youth divisions for participants 12 years old and under for several distances, and a virtual runner option is listed for those who do not attend in person. Registration fees vary by distance and age category.
The event also hosts a food drive benefiting the Alameda County Community Food Bank. Participants are encouraged to bring at least one canned good on race morning. The Little Turkeys Race is free for children who are brought with race participants.
Quarry Turkey is paired with another Thanksgiving event by the same organizer to form a Double Turkey Challenge. Runners who take part in both events, whether in person or remotely, are eligible to receive a connector medal that links the two race medals; no special registration is required for the challenge.
