SGRAIL Marin - Triathlon & Trail Half Marathon
SGRAIL Marin takes place the weekend of October 2–4, 2026 at McNear’s Beach Park in San Rafael, California. The event program includes an Olympic-distance triathlon, an Olympic relay, a trail half marathon, a combined SGRAIL Challenge that covers both race days, and a kids "Fun" event for ages 13 and under.
Distances:
- Olympic Triathlon: 1,500 m swim, 40K bike, 10K run
- Olympic Relay: 1,500 m swim, 40K bike, 10K run
- Trail Half Marathon: 13.1 mi / 21K
- SGRAIL Challenge: Triathlon plus Trail Half Marathon

Registration details and fees are set by event. Registration opens June 26, 2026. Regular pricing is in effect and prices increase after September 17, 2026. Registration deadlines differ by event: the last day for the Triathlon, Relay, and SGRAIL Challenge is September 25; the last day for the Trail Half Marathon is September 30. Entry fees listed by the organizer include a zero-fee kids event and paid entries for other events.
Weekend operations include bib pick-up on Thursday (tentative location at Sports Basement Novato) and Friday at McNear’s Beach Park. Transition access and gear handling rules are specified by organizers; notably, transition access is only available on Saturday and bikes or gear must be collected the same day with no overnight holds.
