Angel Island Half Marathon & 10K - 2026
This event is a trail race that circumnavigates Angel Island State Park near Tiburon, California. The course is a hilly loop that offers panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, Alcatraz Island, the East Bay and Marin County. The 10K is a single loop and the half marathon completes the loop twice. The event is limited to 400 participants.

Key race logistics include a mandatory chartered ferry from the Tiburon ferry dock for athletes; race pricing includes the ferry fee and processing fee. Ferry service returns from Angel Island to Tiburon on an hourly schedule; spectator ferry fees are charged at the dock with set prices for adults, children, small children, and toddlers, and a separate bike fee.
Safety and course support details state that the course will be marked with orange ribbon at turns and trail crossings. There are no aid stations out on the course; aid will be available before the half marathon second loop and food and drink will be provided at the finish. Half marathon runners must check in at the aid station before starting the second loop. Headphones and other audio devices are not allowed because parts of the course include narrow trails with steep drop-offs.
All participants receive a T-shirt. Medals are awarded to all half marathon finishers and personalized award ribbons are mailed to the top three finishers male and female in each age group for each distance.
