36th Annual Angel Island Half Marathon & 10K

The Angel Island Half Marathon and 10K is a trail running event held at Angel Island State Park in California. The course consists of a hilly loop trail that circumnavigates the island, offering views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, Alcatraz Island, the East Bay, and Marin County. Participants can choose between two primary distances:

  • 10K (one loop)
  • Half Marathon (two loops)

For the safety of all participants on narrow trails with steep drop-offs, the use of headphones or any other audio devices is strictly prohibited. The event has a total capacity limit of 400 participants.

Transportation to the start line is handled via a special chartered ferry departing from the Tiburon ferry dock. Registration fees for participants include the ferry fee. There are no aid stations located directly on the course, so runners are encouraged to carry their own water. However, an aid station is available for Half Marathon participants to check in at before they begin their second loop.

Participants receive a T-shirt, and all Half Marathon finishers receive a medal. Personalized award ribbons are mailed to the top three male and female finishers in each age group across all distances. Bib numbers are typically mailed to participants starting two weeks before the event, though on-site pickup is available at the Tiburon ferry dock for those who do not receive theirs in time.
