Mountain Tiger South Lake Tahoe - Stateline

Mountain Tiger South Lake Tahoe is a 12-mile mountain trail race. It is the second event from the Mountain Tiger brand, following its launch in 2025. The race starts and finishes near the Heavenly Boulder Lodge in Stateline, Nevada.

The Course

The route is a point-to-point course with a "lollipop" design. It uses singletrack and technical terrain, smooth fire roads, and includes a section on the Tahoe Rim Trail. Racers will go near the summit of Monument Peak and feature views of Lake Tahoe. The event has a race cutoff time of 5 hours.

Registration and Details

Registration opens on Friday, February 27, 2026. The entry fee is $95 plus processing fees. The fee includes transportation via a group shuttle from the finish line back to the start line. All runners receive an entry into a post-race raffle and a unique finisher's item. The organizer's policy states no refunds are offered, but entries can be rolled over to the 2027 event until June 1, 2026.

Trail runs nearby

A 5K snowshoe walk and race at Camp Richardson in South Lake Tahoe on March 1, 2026. The machine groomed course crosses forest and mountain meadows and the event benefits Metavivor, a metastatic breast cancer organization.

Trail races near Carson City NV with 22K, 11K and 5K options on single track and significant climbing. The 22K has two aid stations; the shorter distances have no stations and the field is capped at 200 runners.

Tail Wagger brings dog friendly 5K and 1 mile fun to North Tahoe Park on May 30, 2026 and to Incline Village TBA. Expect scenic trails, an expo, separate human only starts, swag for pups and people and a local pet charity fundraiser.

A 200 mile ultramarathon around Lake Tahoe following the Tahoe Rim Trail, currently run as an out and back route. The course covers alpine ridgelines, meadows and forest on National Forest lands with multiple aid and sleep stations.
