Tail Wagger events are dog friendly running events that include both timed runs and recreational activities. The schedule includes a 5K run and a 1-mile run, plus an expo and non competitive activities for humans and dogs. Separate starts are offered for human only participants.
The Tahoe Vista edition is the 4th annual event and is set for Saturday, May 30, 2026, at North Tahoe Regional Park, 6600 Donner Road, Tahoe Vista, CA. The Incline Village edition is an inaugural event in 2026 with the date to be announced, and will take place at the Village Green, 960 Lakeshore Boulevard, Incline Village, NV.
Fees for both locations are listed per entry type and include options for dog and human teams, human only entries, and additional dog entries. Example fees include entry for a 5K dog and human team and a 5K human only entry, and lower fees for the 1 mile entries. Race registration includes an event T shirt, a doggy bandana, a finishing prize, beverages provided in part by Alibi Ale Works, awards for the top three, and treats for both humans and dogs.
