Moray Way 100 Relay

The Moray Way 100 Relay is a team event covering the roughly 100 mile Moray Way route on Saturday 27 June 2026. The route starts and finishes in Forres and follows the Moray Coastal Trail to Spey Bay, continues on the Speyside Way to Grantown-on-Spey, and returns to Forres via the Dava Way. Terrain includes forests, coastline trails, hills and sandy beaches.

The race is divided into 12 sections with handovers at specific checkpoints. Teams may consist of up to four people; teams with fewer members can allocate more legs to each runner. Each runner must complete at least three legs. Handovers and runner assignments can be changed before race day if the organisers are notified. Some team members will experience night running.

Entry requires participants to be over 16. The event has a 24 hour cutoff and a minimum individual distance of about 18 km within that limit. Team entry is limited to 30 teams and an early bird price of £150 per team is listed. Categories include All Men, All Women and Mixed (two or more women). Divisions include Open (one or more under 40), Masters (all over 40), Corporate (two or more employed by the same company) and Military/Public Service (two or more working in that sector).

GPX files and a full route map with checkpoints are provided. Volunteers are needed for marshalling, attendance, catering and night shifts; volunteers receive event goodies, a hi‑vis top and access to the finish party. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
