Moray Way 100 Relay

The Moray Way 100 Relay is a team event covering the full Moray Way route of roughly 100(ish!) mile on Saturday 27 June 2026. Teams of up to four runners share the distance, and the course passes through forests, coastline trails, hills and sandy beaches.

The race is divided into 12 sections with handovers at specific checkpoints. Each runner must complete at least three legs; teams with fewer than four members divide the remaining sections among themselves. Teams may change their assigned legs before race day if they notify the organisers. Some legs may include night running.

The route starts and finishes in Forres, follows the Moray Coastal Trail to Spey Bay, continues along the Speyside Way to Grantown-on-Spey, and returns toward Forres via the Dava Way. GPX files and full route maps are provided by the organisers.

Eligibility and logistics include a minimum age of 16, a 24 hour cutoff for completing the full course, a team entry limit of 30, and an early bird team entry fee of £150. The minimum distance a single runner can cover is 18 km within the cutoff.

The event has gender and mixed categories and several entry divisions, including open, masters, corporate and military or public service categories. Volunteers are required for marshalling, catering and checkpoint duties; volunteers receive event provisions and high-visibility clothing.
