Moray Way 100 Mile Ultra

The Moray Way 100 is a 100 miles ultra trail race that starts and finishes in Forres. The route combines three long distance trails: the Moray Coastal Trail, the Speyside Way and the Dava Way, to reach the full 100 mile distance.

The course moves from coastal paths and dune trails through Roseisle Forest to Burghead, then follows a tarred section to Hopeman. Clifftop trails run from Hopeman to Covesea and, when the tide permits, a beach section leads to Lossiemouth, which is aid station 1. The route crosses Lossiemouth Bridge and includes a 5 kilometre section to Kingston, then follows Garmouth and Kingston Golf Course and a railway bridge before heading south to Fochabers at aid station 2. The route climbs near Ben Aigen and descends into Craigellachie, then follows the Speyside Way past several distilleries toward Aberlour and Grantown on Spey where aid station 3 and aid station 4 are located. From Grantown competitors join the Dava Way for a mainly downhill final stretch back to Forres and finish at Grant Park.

The race is scheduled for 27 June 2026. Entry is limited to 100 competitors, the cutoff is 30 hours and the entry fee is £100. Competitors must be at least 18 years old and experienced in ultra distance running. The route is described as predominantly runnable and largely self sufficient. Full route details, GPX files and an official race handbook will be provided to competitors before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
