Moray Way 100
The Moray Way 100 is a 100 miles ultra trail race on Saturday 27th June 2026 that starts and finishes in Forres. The route links the Moray Coastal Trail, the Speyside Way and the Dava Way, and follows beaches, dunes, forests, clifftop paths and waymarked trails through northeast Scotland.
The course begins in Forres and passes Grant Park, the High Street and an A96 crossing before moving toward Findhorn and the Kinloss Barracks area. The coastal section runs past nature reserves, dunes and Roseisle Forest to Burghead, then continues on a tarred path to Hopeman and on clifftop trails to Covesea. Where tides allow, the route uses the beach at Covesea with the lighthouse to the right and proceeds to Lossiemouth, the location of aid station 1. After Lossiemouth Bridge the route goes through Kingston, past Garmouth and Kingston Golf Course and on toward Fochabers, aid station 2.
The route climbs near Ben Aigen and descends into Craigellachie, then follows the Speyside Way through Aberlour and Grantown on Spey with several distilleries nearby and aid station 3 in that area. At Grantown, aid station 4, runners join the Dava Way for the final section back to Forres and a finish at Grant Park.
Entries are limited to 100, the cutoff is 30 hours and the entry fee is £100. Competitors must be at least 18 years old and experienced in ultra distance running. The race is described as predominantly runnable and mainly self sufficient. GPX files and an official race handbook will be provided to competitors before the event.
