Monross Trailblazers - Blaze the Biblins

Blaze the Biblins is a trail race held within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty around Biblins Youth Campsite, Doward, Ross-on-Wye HR9 6DX on 11 October 2026. The course covers approximately 6 miles (10k) over a mixture of hard trails, single track and unmade ground.

The route was designed by runners and includes climbs, flat sections, technical single track, ancient woodland, historic ironworks, riverside running, a notable hill climb called the Demon and a descent to the finish. The course will be fully marked and marshalled, with a midpoint water station and first aid cover. The event has a Welsh Athletics Permit and is held under UK Athletics Rules.

Entry is limited to 200 participants and a waiting list will operate once the limit is reached. Entry fees are listed as £15 affiliated and £17 unaffiliated, with a discount for members of WA EA SA. The minimum age on race day is 17 years. Trail shoes are recommended and runners remain responsible for their own safety.

Race HQ at Biblins Youth Campsite provides toilet facilities but no showers. Kit bags may be left at HQ but the organisers accept no responsibility for unattended items. Parking near the HQ is limited so car sharing and following parking marshals is advised. Prizes are awarded to the overall first three male and female finishers, age group winners and to male and female teams of three. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
