Event overview

Blaze the Biblins is a trail race held on 18 October 2026 within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Ross-on-Wye. The event covers approximately 6 miles (10k) on a mixture of hard trails, single track and unmade ground. The race is run under a Welsh Athletics permit and UK Athletics rules. Entry is open to runners aged 17 and over, with an entry limit of 200 and a waiting list once places are full.

Course and logistics

The route starts near Biblins Youth Campsite, Doward, Ross-on-Wye, and passes through ancient woodland, past historic ironworks and along riverbanks. The course includes climbs, flat sections, technical single track and a named "Demon" hill climb before a descent to the finish. The route will be fully signposted and marshalled, with a mid-point water station and first aid cover. Trail shoes are recommended; runners are responsible for their own safety.

There are toilet facilities at race headquarters but no showers. Kit bags can be left at race HQ but the organisers accept no responsibility for unattended items. Parking near the HQ is limited; parking marshalls will direct vehicles and roadside parking is not permitted. Prizes are planned for overall top three male and female finishers, age group winners, and male and female team prizes for teams of three. Entry fees are listed as £15 (affiliated) and £17 (unaffiliated). A GPX route file is provided for the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
