The event is an orienteering meeting held on an active Ministry of Defence base at Albemarle Barracks. It is the second event of the MLN 25-26 league. Entry fees are listed as Civilian £6.00 and Military £5.00; late entries carry a £1 supplement. Civilian entrants must provide vehicle details at registration and must present valid photo ID. Only those entered in the competition may enter the base. Civilian entrants not known to league staff may have their entry cancelled and refunded.

Nearest postcode is NE15 0RG; entrance given by what3words chucked.equity.adults. The map is 1:4,000 scale, 2.5 m contours, printed on waterproof paper and updated for this event. The electronic punching system is EMIT Emitag Touch Free with a wrist strap chip; lost tags are charged at £75. Toilets are available at reception. Dogs are allowed in the parking area but not on the competition area. Coaching is available for up to 20 military participants for a small fee.
