The Mile 0 Flint Hills Trail Race takes place on April 25, 2026 in Osawatomie, Kansas. It features four race distances: 50K, 20 mile, 10 mile, and a Fun Run for any distance under 10 miles. All courses are run as a single out-and-back on the Flint Hills Trail.
The Course
The race is held on the Flint Hills Trail, a flat and fast pathway made of crushed gravel. It is the longest trail in Kansas, following a historic railroad line. The event is held in mid-April when weather is typically cool, though unpredictable. The course has manned aid stations approximately every 5 miles and unmanned water stations about every 2.5 miles.
What's Included
Registration for the 50K, 20 mile, and 10 mile races includes a unisex technical race shirt, fully stocked aid stations, pre- and post-race food, complimentary race photos, sponsor items, and a finisher's medal. Fun Run participants receive access to aid stations, food, photos, and a lapel pin. All finishers get a distance-specific oval sticker. Top male and female overall winners in the 10 mile, 20 mile, and 50K receive unique awards.
Registration & Policies
A no-refund, no-transfer policy is in effect. Runners may defer their entry to the following year's event by notifying the race director at least 10 days before the race. Packet pickup is available the day before the race and on race morning starting at 5:30 AM at the Mile 0 Trailhead. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
