The surface is flat crushed gravel, and the route is described as mostly straight, staffed, and marked.

Aid stations are a mix of manned and unmanned sites. Manned stations are fully stocked with water, Hammer nutrition products, snack foods, sandwiches, chips, candy, and gels. Unmanned stations offer water only. Aid stations are placed no more than 6.0 miles apart.

Race logistics and rules include mandatory submission of a medical information sheet at packet pickup, time limits for each distance, pacer rules for the 100 mile, 100k, and 50 mile fields, and a no refund no transfer policy with a possible one year deferral if requested in advance. Drop bags are allowed at manned aid stations and must be clearly labeled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
