The Unbridled 50 Mile : Hillsdale, KS (Oct 18, 2025)

The event offers three distances:

  • 50 Miler
  • 50K
  • 10 Miler

It takes place at 26000 West 255th Street, Hillsdale, KS, with the Army Corps of Engineers building serving as the race hub. The course is run as loops and the event uses a 10-mile loop format.

Course, logistics and awards

The course is mostly horse trail, with about 90% single-track horse trail and about 10% pavement and gravel. The route includes technical single-track sections and several hills. The format is described as self-supported with one main aid/refill station at the race hub and one designated drop bag zone roughly halfway around the loop. Runners will encounter the aid station only once per loop.

Time limits are set by distance: a 16-hour limit for the 50 Miler, a 10-hour limit for the 50K, and a 4-hour limit for the 10 Miler. Drop bags must be clearly marked with name, race bib number, and race distance, and only one drop bag is allowed per runner. Race shirts are available; registration by October 5 guarantees shirt size. Finishers of the 50 Miler and 50K receive belt buckles and 10 Miler finishers receive medals. An additional award called the Silver Spur is noted for 50 Miler finishers under an 11-hour threshold. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
