The surface is primarily crushed limestone with asphalt sections through towns. The course is described as flat.

Manned and unmanned aid stations are located approximately every 5 miles, with no gap longer than about 6 miles. Manned stations offer water, electrolyte drink, and snack foods, including soup and sandwiches. Unmanned stations provide water only. All manned aid stations have drop bag access. The course is noted as being easily accessible for support crews.
