Prairie Spirit Trail is a multi-distance trail event held in Ottawa, Kansas on March 28, 2026. The course uses the Prairie Spirit rails to trails route and follows an out and back pattern from Ottawa south through several towns before returning to the finish. The surface is primarily crushed limestone with short sections of asphalt through towns. The route is described as flat and is accessible to crew.

Aid stations are placed roughly every 5 miles. Manned stations are fully stocked with water, electrolyte drink, snack items and hot options such as soup and sandwiches; unmanned stations provide water only. No section between manned aid stations is greater than a little over 9 miles. All manned stations allow drop bag access. Pacers are permitted for the second half of all events.

Time limits and cutoffs are distance specific. Turnaround cutoffs apply for longer distances and the finish cutoff is strict; finishers must complete their distance within the published time limits to be recorded as official finishers. The courses are USATF certified and record eligible.
